Time certainly flies! It may seem impossible that 2018 is already knocking on our doorstep, but a new year is upon us and it's time to tackle another bucket list. On New Year's Day we gave you your list of places you should eat in 2017, consisting of twelve delightful locations that you hopefully made your way to this past year. Sending you all over the state of New York, here's your newest list of restaurants that you'll want to start visiting this year.
1. The Parlor - Dobbs Ferry
If you aren't adding this restaurant to your 2018 dining bucket list, I'm not sure we'll ever be able to be friends. The Parlor is a fun and funky place to grab pizza, known for serving up their delicious wood-fired pies that will blow your mind. But if there's one thing you'll want to save room for, it's their pizza ice cream sandwiches that will become your new favorite pizza and dessert!

2. Kanu Lounge - Lake Placid
Just one of many incredible restaurants that are worth visiting in the town of Lake Placid, Kanu Lounge at the Whiteface Lodge features a jaw-dropping dining setting. Giving you an amazing view of Whiteface Mountain, the restaurant has large picture windows, cozy fireplaces and some of the best pancakes that you'll ever taste!

3. Beardslee Castle - Little Falls
One of, if not the most, enchanting restaurants in all of New York, Beardslee Castle is a gorgeous historic castle that now serves as a breathtaking restaurant. Originally built back in 1860, today Beardslee Castle has five dining rooms on the main floor as well as The Dungeon Bar & Grill in the basement for lighter fare and drinks. 4. The Waffle Factory - Webster
The perfect place to bring your sweet tooth, The Waffle Factory just outside of Rochester is the dining destination from your dreams. Not only does this restaurant have some of the most amazing and creative waffles that you'll ever feast on, they also create some of the most over-the-top milkshakes that look too good to be true.

5. Mother's Cupboard - Syracuse
Syracuse is a city where you'll never go hungry, filled with a variety and abundance of amazing restaurants for everyone. But hungry residents who are looking for a great way to start their day should head on over to Mother's Cupboard. Take a look at the menu or simply glance around the restaurant and you'll see larger-than-life pancakes and plates full of homemade delicious frittata and amazing breakfast foods.

6. Gus' Red Hots - Plattsburgh
Another reason to head up north, if you couldn't already tell by the name Gus' serves some of New York's best red hots. Gus' is the charming diner you hope to find in every town you visit, featuring homemade food, scrumptious milkshakes and amazing red hots.

7. The Chocolate Bar - Buffalo
Make your way out to Western New York and hungry travelers will be able to stumble upon our very own chocolate-themed restaurant! The Chocolate Bar out in Buffalo is a chocolate-themed restaurant that has everything from chocolate pasta dishes and fondue to chocolate martinis and even shot glasses made out of chocolate!

8. Mac's Drive-In - Waterloo
When our residents up north are in need of a taste of nostalgia, there's no better place to pay a visit to than Mac's Drive-In in Waterloo. The small town eatery gives you quite a few ways to experience your food, with seats available up at the counter, outdoor dining underneath umbrellas or the choice to dine straight from the comfort of your car if you find one of their sixteen drive-in parking spots open!

9. Rio Tomatlan - Canandaigua
When it comes to Mexican Food, heading out to Canandaigua might not be the first destination that comes to your mind. But it is in fact here where you can find the amazing Rio Tomatlan restaurant, an absolute must-visit in town. The restaurant has gorgeous decor inside that's been put together by local artists and authentic Pacific Coast cuisine that you'll wish you had tried sooner.

10. Nick Tahou Hots - Rochester
If you've somehow managed to go your entire New York existence without trying a garbage plate from Nick Tahou's, I feel sorry for you and your tastebuds. The iconic dish is usually made up of hot dogs, hamburger, baked beans, home fries, macaroni salad, hot sauce and other various toppings you can choose to add to it! While other restaurants have adopted the dish, there's no better place to get a garbage plate than Nick Tahou's.

11. Bokie's Drive-In - Malone
All the way up north where you're not too far from up upstairs neighbor Canada, there's a bright pink restaurant that will bring a smile to your face. Right off of Route 11, inside you'll find vintage decor and happy visitors who are chowing down on dishes like their poutine and Michigans.

12. Aviator Restaurant - Queensbury
If you thought paying a visit to the airport was the only way you'd be able to dine and watch planes take off, guess again! The Aviator Restaurant up in Queensbury gives you an upfront view of the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, also the location of the annual Adirondack Balloon Festival. Inside the restaurant you'll see the walls decorated in photos from the balloon festival, as well as a full bar and fantastic menu.

13. Crazy Otto's Empire Diner - Herkimer
A place we featured earlier this year for their dreamy biscuits, Crazy Otto's Empire Diner out in Herkimer is a great stop to make when you're traveling along the Thruway. The diner has an interior made up of lots of character, with wall's covered in pieces of the diner's history and other local vintage treasures. Aside from filling up on biscuits, you'll also love to try all of their other homemade dishes.

14. Peekamoose Restaurant - Big Indian
A great place to check out when you're in the Catskills, Big Indian's Peekamoose Restaurant is absolutely magical. Just off of Route 28 and easy to find, the rustic restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating and farm-to-table dishes that you won't find just anywhere.

15. Red Hat on the River - Irving
Giving you sweeping views of the Hudson River and even Manhattan's skyline, Red Hat on the River is a phenomenal waterfront restaurant in our state. Inside of what was once the historic Lord & Burnham Factory, the restaurant has two stories of seating as well as outdoor and rooftop dining during our warmer months. Featuring a menu that changes all throughout the year, you'll find that many of the ingredients in your dishes come from local farms.

17. Deer Mountain Inn - Tannersville
A colorful little town to visit if you're feeling hungry, Tannersville has plenty of options to choose from when it comes to restaurants. But if you're a visitor who's interested in looking beyond Main Street or even finding a place to stay the night, then you'll want to bring your hungry tummy to Deer Mountain Inn. 18. The Playhouse // Swillburger - Rochester
Out in Rochester, inside of what was once a church is now an epic restaurant that will bring out the inner child in you! Swillburger is known for their mouthwatering burgers and gourmet tater tots that you simply won't be able to get enough of. But the other main reason people love to eat here? Swillburger is a literal playhouse, filled with arcade games and a vibrant bar that will give you all you need to have a fun time.

19. Last Chance Cheese & Antiques - Tannersville
Another great eatery to check out in Tannersville, Last Chance Cheese & Antiques is a cheese-themed restaurant that you'll fall head over heels for. Right on Main Street and easy to find, all you'll need to do is look for the white and yellow building with cheese all over it! Step inside and you'll find a charming little shop, with a menu made up of mac and cheese, french onion soup and their famed cheese fondue!
