They say if it ain't broke don't fix it, and that's exactly why some of our favorite attractions also happen to be some of the oldest ones within the Empire State. Up in the small town of Northville, you can find one of the oldest operating 5 & 10 shops in the country still up and running, while all around the rest of New York you can find other historic attractions that have been around for quite some time. If you're ready to get a taste of our history, then see what it's like to visit one of the oldest and largest continually operating breweries out in Monroe County. Check it out!
Waiting for you out in Rochester, the Genesee Brew House is a massive attraction that any beer lover will greatly appreciate.
With a history that dates back more than 100 years, at the Genesee Brew House you'll find everything from a bar and restaurant to the actual brew house and interactive exhibits that showcase this place's history.
Take a step back in time with the brew house's free Pilot Brewery Tours that are offered on a daily basis and give you a greater insight into the incredible wheelhouse that this place really is and has been for so long now.
Now, onto the truly fun part of this historic attraction, the restaurant and pub!
Open every day of the week in Rochester where you're overlooking High Falls, locals and out-of-towners alike can pull up a seat at the 41-foot-long bar made from vintage cedar brewing tanks once part of the original brewery campus for an experience they'll never forget.
With more than 15 taps full of fresh beer available, you can always count on delicious $5 dollar flights of four amazing beers to be at the ready for you.
Also, what would a good bar be without an amazing food menu? Genesee Brew House will make your mouth water in so many different ways!
With things like Brew House Nachos, Potato Chip Tenders, Buffalo Chicken Pierogies, Fried Pickles, Bavarian Pretzels, Beef on Weck, Brew House BLT, Chipotle Burger, Gruyere Mac and Cheese, Sausage Pasta, and more on the menu, you can always count on walking away from this place with a stomach full of delicious goodness.
