Nestled on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter, Mona Lisa’s exterior can be easy to miss if you’re not looking for it.
But this tiny little Italian restaurant has been a neighborhood secret for more than 35 years, and still going strong.
When you step inside, you can’t help but notice all of the Mona Lisa paintings displayed on the wall.
In what might be the most quirky restaurant in New Orleans, the walls here are covered in various artistic expressions of the famous Mona Lisa painting. It’ll certainly make you smile!
If the atmosphere doesn’t make you fall in love with this hidden gem, the food sure will.
Featuring a wide array of classic Italian dishes, Mona Lisa serves some of the best pasta dishes in the quarter.
Of course, you’ll want to start off with one of their incredible appetizers like olive tapenade, bruschetta, or their creamy spinach and artichoke dip, pictured below.
As tempting as it may be, don’t fill up on the appetizers because you’ve got a hearty entree coming your way. Delicious pastas, pizzas, and even lasagna are just a few of the tasty dishes you’ll find on the menu.
And the portions are massive, so be sure to come hungry!
