The southwest, and New Mexico specifically, are home to some of the best food around—even if you have to travel for it. This restaurant gives you a dining experience unlike any other, from the incredible steaks to an atmosphere that you won't want to leave. The restaurant is also a boutique store, and has an eye-opening history of the Wild West. This place might be out there on a rural road, but it sure isn't quiet.
Welcome to Tinnie Silver Dollar.
This steakhouse and boutique might be out in the boonies, but it's so worth the drive.
This establishment holds a lot of history.
In 1873, a general store and post office sat upon the Hondo River Valley in a town that was then called Analla. Outlaws and murderers were involved with the general store at the time, and rumor has it that some of them are still buried on the property to this day.
New ownership took over the store in 1909.
They renamed the store "Tinnie" after their daughter.
The community loved the new family so much that they changed the name of the town to Tinnie.
In 1959, there was once again new ownership and buildings were added to the property, including the steakhouse.
Now, this establishment is open to the public, but there are still remnants of its history.
People have reported strange sounds and ghost sightings, though no one can confirm. Tinnie still displays much art and antiques from the past.
Despite Tinnie's history, this place is beloved by many.
From the boutique store to the delicious steakhouse, this charming restaurant is unlike any other.
Sunday brunch is a fan favorite, so don't miss out.
You simply must experience Tinnie Silver Dollar for yourself; you won't regret it.
