Just thinking about Curry Leaf Restaurant in Albuquerque has us imagining the smells of home-cooked Indian food.
If you've been to any region of the sub-continent there's a good chance this place will take you back to your time there.
First, when you think of all-you-can-eat restaurants, you might imagine the sort of place that's fast and casual, aiming to get people in and get people out - but that's not the case here.
There's a decidedly upscale vibe, complete with folded cloth napkins, a beautiful rose hue on the walls, and art reminiscent of India.
But, of course, you're not here for the walls... you're here for the food and there is plenty of it!
Owner Narenda Kloty opened the restaurant in 2016 and the north and south Indian cuisine has been drawing people in for both lunch and dinner each and every day since.
One of the most unique aspects of Curry Leaf is its dedication to allowing patrons to sample a variety of different dishes.

You can try anything you want without having to commit to one flavor, one region or one spice level.
And we're serious when we say spice!
Because Curry Leaf offers southern Indian cuisine alongside the northern food we typically see at Indian restaurants, quite a few of these dishes will satisfy even the spiciest New Mexico foodie.
One of the hardest things to find on the menu of a typical Indian restaurant in the states is the classic dosa.
Along with incredible food, we love the presentation here.
The copper dishes are exactly like the ones you'd find at a restaurant in India.
Fill your plate, but don't forget to get a chai (which just means "tea") or a lassi, which is a bit like a milkshake.
