New Jersey has an exceptional dining scene. You can find fantastic food in our cities, suburbs, small towns and even at our airports. Newark Airport has an invite-only restaurant for frequent fliers on United Airlines and Tacquila in Terminal C has one of the best bars anywhere, with over 2,000 bottles on display. But it's not just our biggest airport that will satisfy your taste buds; many of our smaller airports also offer eateries.
Sky Cafe is one of our state's newer airport eateries, having opened in 2015.
Located at Sky Manor Airport in Pittstown, you can watch planes take off and land while you dine.
In addition to the planes outside, you can learn a little aviation history inside.
You can dine on the patio when the weather is warm, or you see the show from the modest, yet modern, dining room.
They're open daily (except Tuesday) for breakfast and lunch.
The menu is quite impressive. Breakfast options include stuffed french toast, omelets, crepes, pancakes, breakfast burritos and pork roll sandwiches.
Many items are aviation-themed, including the "Propeller" omelet with sausage, onions, peppers and provolone.
The lunch menu includes, soups, salads and all sorts of sandwiches. You'll find paninis, wraps, clubs and burgers.
There's a kids' menu with chicken fingers and hotdogs and a vegetarian menu that includes a portobello melt and roasted vegetable flatbread.
You never know what will land while you're here!
The food is yummy, the service is friendly and the atmosphere can't be beaten. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the experience and it won't eat a hole in your wallet -many menu items are under $10. Visit the Sky Cafe website for more information
