While New Jersey may have a massive craft beer scene, we also take our wine very seriously. At one point, we were home to over 100 wineries. Unfortunately, many of these were shuttered forever during Prohibition. In recent years, the wine scene has been flourishing and you can currently find over 50 wineries and vineyards in New Jersey. These wines are among the best in the world, with South Jersey’s Outer Coastal Plain having the same climate and soil as the Bordeaux region in France. You really can't go wrong when visiting a Garden State winery but if you're looking for something a little different, head to Cream Ridge Winery.
Cream Ridge Winery opened to the public in 1988.
An absolutely beautiful place, you'll find 14 acres of vineyard and a terrific tasting room.
Tastings are affordably priced - $5 for up to 10 tastings. For $1 extra, you can take home the glass.
In addition to tastings, you'll find fun special events like wine and chocolate pairings and Sangria celebrations.
On Leap Day (February 29th), stop by for delicious Sangria, food (The Tiki Room truck), and live music.
Of course, their incredible wine is the number one reason to visit.
You'll find Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Zinfandel, and more.
The fruit wines are something special!
Enjoy unique, handcrafted, locally harvested fruit wines including Good Time Apple Wine (made with 100% Jersey Apples), Jersey-grown Asian Pear Wine, Plum Wine, Cranberry Wine, bestselling AlmondBerry, organic Strawberry Wine, Mango Wine, and many more.
They've even got flavors infused with coffee and chocolate.
Fruit wine lovers, rejoice! This may just be your new favorite place. A few things to note - leashed dogs are welcome on the property (outdoors only, except service dogs) and children are permitted but must be supervised at all times. Check their website for a full list of flavors and seasonal availability.
