South Jersey is located within a couple of hours of Pennsylvania's famous Amish Country, and that means that there are Amish markets scattered about our southern counties. If you want to try some truly delicious homemade comfort food, come to the Dutch Wagon Amish Farmers Market in Medford and treat yourself.
The Dutch Wagon Amish Market is a hidden gem, sitting far back from the road. If you weren't looking for it on busy Route 70 in Medford, you might drive right by.
They're only open on Friday and Saturday, so plan your trip for a weekend when you've got plenty of time to shop.
Inside, you'll find all sorts of vendors seling homemade goodies. There's a bakery that makes fresh donuts, a fried chicken and BBQ stall packed with comfort food, candy, gourmet foods, and so much more.
If you get here early enough, treat yourself to breakfast. There's nothing like fresh homemade pancakes or waffles served at the Corner Cafe.
If you're more of a mid-day shopper, you'll be happy to know that the Dutch Wagon is famous for serving some of the best hot dogs in New Jersey. Whether you like them smothered with toppings or just plain, you'll love lunch here.
While everything made and served here is delicious, the pretzels are one treat you can't miss. They're baked fresh daily and so tasty.
Try one of their classic buttery pretzels or a cinnamon-coated sweet treat with cream cheese dip. You can't go wrong, and you'll be so glad you stopped by.
In addition to delicious food, you can find homemade goods and furniture here, too! For information on their current vendors and businesses, visit the Amish Dutch Wagon website, here.
