It barely feels like summer is gone, let alone fall. But, it's clear that winter is here and we'll be living it for the next few months. Luckily, this is the time of year when winter in New Hampshire is most lovable. Snow is still lovely, lights are twinkling and there's an air of excitement as we get closer to the holidays. By January we need a little something to help us feel excited about the cold and this bar is exactly that!
Stonehurst Manor in North Conway is one of the most lovely places to stay on a cold winter night. It's cozy and warm and has just the right atmosphere if you want to feel safe and sound. But, if you're looking for something a bit more lively, you'll want to be here in January!
On January 24th and 25th, the 6th annual ice bar comes alive just outside the Library Lounge.
A team of ambitious folks spend weeks preparing tons of ice, carving and sawing each block into the most magical shapes.
It's hard to believe that these blocks of ice become everything from tables to chairs to decorative sculptures.
It's clear that something special is about to happen right when you pull up.
Admission includes passed hors d'oeuvres, a performance by the Music Man and a fashion show courtesy of Spruce Hurricane.
And, of course, there's plenty to drink at the bar made entirely of ice.
Need to take a seat? That's also ice!
Needless to say you'll want to dress warmly for this fun, unique event.
But, while the ice is cold the vibe is very, very warm.
The 6th Annual Ice Bar at Stonehurst Manor takes place for two days in January. Saturday, January 25th is already sold out, but Friday, January 24th is available. The bar is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and tickets are $35. Must be 21+ to enter. Click here to learn more or give them a call on 603-356-3113.
