This may be New England but there's still a lot to be said for the old England. One thing that can't be beaten is traditional English food in the comfort of the local pub. In the City of Dover, one neighborhood establishment is bringing the traditional British pub experience to New Hampshire.
The June Cork Pub was created by owner John Bushnell out of his love for playing and watching soccer, and his love of watching the matches at the pub with friends.
But you don't have to be into sports to enjoy this traditional British pub experience. The pub takes its name from John's grandmother June, a native of Liverpool, England.
On weekends, the pub offers brunch with separate menu offerings for both kids and adults. Of course, no British pub would be complete without an English Breakfast.
Perhaps something more savory and sweet is your style. Why not try the crepes? A thin pancake with fresh fruit compote filling is pretty hard to resist.
Skip the traditional French toast and go for the Soda Bread French Toast. Soda bread made in-house and dipped in an eggy mix and deep fried until golden brown. Mmmm!
Lighter fare is also available, such as this veggie dish, a spicy avocado benny with a salad instead of fried potatoes. Or can just stick to the vegetables with a select salad.
Visit The June Cork Pub's website for the specific hours of brunch and to view their brunch menus. Be sure also to follow them on Facebook for brunch specials.
