Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is just a couple of short weeks away. But if you simply can't get enough turkey, stuffing, and gravy on Turkey Day itself, there's a restaurant in New Hampshire that will serve up all of your favorite holiday dishes, along with a heaping dose of nostalgia, all year 'round.
Hart's Turkey Farm in Meredith has been a Lakes Region institution since it opened in 1954. It's still run by the Hart family, and it's certainly never lost that homey feeling.
Step inside and you'll feel immediately at ease with the comfortable seating, warm lighting, and turkey-centered decor.
The restaurant's menu proudly proclaims "Every day is Thanksgiving Day at Hart's Turkey Farm," and that's no joke. Most of the menu involves turkey, including an appetizer sampler with turkey potstickers, nuggets, and tempura.
You'll find dishes ranging from delectable turkey meatloaf to turkey parmesan. Everything is made fresh on the premises, from the rolls to the mashed potatoes, and it's all delicious.
The turkey pot pie, with its delightfully flaky crust, is a particular favorite.
Of course, if you want the real Thanksgiving experience, you can go for the classic turkey dinner. The gravy is absolutely to die for.
No turkey dinner is complete without a big slice of pie – and Hart's Turkey Farm won't let you down in that regard either.
Before you leave, pop into the gift shop to find all sorts of New Hampshire-made merchandise – and plenty of turkey-themed items.
