We all have two sides. There's the side that loves hiking, but the side that enjoys binge watching Netflix. There's the part of us that hates the winter and the side of us that secretly rejoices when there's a prediction for snow. We're complicated humans, which is why we love this unique bar in New Hampshire. It's part library and part bar, which means your inner intellectual can enjoy a night out without having to forget the side of you that likes to have some fun every now and then. Check out these awesome photos of this library bar in New Hampshire:
Portsmouth Book & Bar is unlike any place you've ever been.
It's located in the original Custom House, built in 1860. The building has been home to multiple businesses over the years including a dress shop and an auto parts store.
Today it has been lovingly transformed into a combination bookstore, cafe, and bar.
The baked goods are made daily and they offer a wonderful selection espresso, craft beers, and small plates.
And the meals are the perfect size for munching while you read!
The unique setting here allows for friends to come and chat, while also stocking up on new and used books and enjoying some drinks.
Everything you see inside has been handcrafted by the owners — two booksellers and a chef.
Their vision has been brought to life and their passion can be felt throughout.
Even the book titles are handpicked to ensure that the vibe here is exactly as intended.
Make sure to stop by on one of their live entertainment nights. They've got everything from local musicians to poets to readings.
