One thing I always remember from childhood is the tradition of Christmas cookies. I admit I've been known to eat one too many when opening gifts! If you also love these delicious confections then you'll love the Inn-To-Inn Cookie Tour. This fundraising event combines tours to several NH Country Inns with original recipes and samples of signature holiday cookies and candies.
The annual Inn-To-Inn Cookie Tour is organized by Country Inns in the White Mountains as both a chance to tour the region's finest inns and as a fundraiser.
A portion of the proceeds raised from the event will go benefit benefit End 68 Hours of Hunger, a local not-for-profit effort.
The aim of 68 Hours of Hunger is to provide nourishing food to school children on weekends between free school meals during the week.
Tour participants get to tour the inns, which will be decked out for the holidays, and will also receive a cookbook with holiday recipes from each inn.
There's also the chance to win a $250 gift certificate for a getaway at one of the participating inns of your choice.
The tour stretches between the towns of Jackson and Eaton, and each inn is no more than 15 minutes from each other.
All of the NH country inns have created original recipes for their treats, with each recipe being new this year. So if you've done this tour before, it will be totally different experience!
For more information and to book your cookie tour package, visit the Country Inns in the White Mountains website and be sure to follow Country Inns in the White Mountains on Facebook for the latest updates on the event.
Skip the big roadside hotel chains and stay at a cozy inn this winter. Here are seven of them that make for a warm getaway, seven more that you transport you back to another era, and one more inn that is the quintessential New Hampshire experience.
