It isn't difficult to find good ice cream in New Hampshire, and for that we are thankful. But today we'd like to give a shout-out to a place that consistently delivers some of the world's best hard scoop ice cream, a spot that happens to be celebrating 15 years in business this year. If you've never been to Moo's Place Ice Cream in Derry, you're going to want to change that as soon as possible.
It all started in the fall of 2003, when the owners, Christy and Steve, purchased the the former Bill’s Buy Rite convenience store in Derry.
Moo’s Place officially opened the following spring.
The mission here has always been to exceed customer's expectations, and it's safe to say they've been successful.
Moo's Place instantly won over everyone who visited.
The ice cream shop can be quite crowded, but you can always order your treats at the walk up window and get it to-go.
Sometimes, particularly on a warm, sunny day, that's the better option.
Moo's Place serves both soft serve and hard scoops, both of which are phenomenal.
All the super-premium hard serve ice creams are made at the shop, using locally sourced 16% butterfat cream and the best quality ingredients.
There's certainly no shortage of flavors here.
From classics like Chocolate and Vanilla to creative options like Frozen Pudding, Sea Salt Caramel Cookie, and Black Raspberry, you'll find what you're craving here.
You can also order from the long list of specialty sundaes or create your own.
And if you have a special occasion coming up, the ice cream cake here is second to none.
Moo's Place was so successful that they were able to open a second location in Salem in 2012.
And the Derry location is doing better than ever.
Derry address: 27 Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH 03038
Salem address: 15 Ermer Road, Salem, NH, 03079
