The majority of Nevada is lucky to experience mild winters where the temperature very rarely drops to an uncomfortable level. However, one of the coolest (literally) experiences in the world is located right here in the Silver State. This unique ice bar is comprised of over 90 tons of ice. Everything from the chairs to the drink glasses are completely made of ice! This is one of those experiences that belongs on any Nevadan's bucket list so keep reading to learn all about it. After all, there's truly no other place like this in the world.
Who would've thought that one of the most unique ice attractions was right here in Nevada of all places? Located in Las Vegas, this ice bar is one of those bucket list experiences that is begging to be checked off.
Minus5° is a premium ice attraction with two locations inside of Mandalay Bay and the Venetian. Here at Minus5°, everything is made of ice including the walls, chandeliers, seats, and even the glasses that you enjoy your beverage in.
All in all, it's estimated that there is about 180,000 pounds of ice at Minus5°, so prepare to bundle up. When you visit, you'll be asked to choose a package based off of what type of experience you'd like to have.
The cheapest package costs $17 per person but their most popular is the "Coolest Experience" package which costs $45 and includes entry, gloves, faux fur coat, and one ice cocktail. All packages include a free green screen digital photo.
Once you choose your package, you'll get all bundled up with the provided coats and gloves before being transported to the winter wonderland that Minus5° resembles. On top of ice furniture, the bar also contains an abundance of ice sculptures that are continuously reinvented to give patrons a unique experience with every visit.
Sip on a specialty cocktail while enjoying the dazzling LED light show and upbeat music. This place is definitely unlike anything you've seen before!
The bar is kept at a chilly -5 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit). You'll definitely feel the chill but most people will spend around 30-45 minutes before feeling the need to warm up. There's no time limit at Minus5° so attempt to stay as long as you can bear it!
Minus5° is so much more than a bar. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that you can't get anywhere else. Be sure to visit during your next Vegas trip! The location inside of Mandalay Bay is 21+ only, but the Venetian location is open to kids 12 and older.
