Affectionately known as, Hillsboro Village, the cluster of shops located on 21st Avenue runs the gamut when it comes to some of the best eats in Nashville. Take a walk from the Belcourt Theater down to Fido for a slice of cake, or maybe Jeni's for ice cream. You'll have your pick of coffee spots or burger joints or even a loaded hot dog (!!!). Plus, the ever-historic Pancake Pantry will always have our hearts, and it's right down the road...
1. Pancake Pantry - 1796 21st Ave S
You can't really talk about Hillsboro Village without at least mentioning the highly historic Pancake Pantry located right on the main strip. Come early to beat the crowds that line up around the block, and order the sweet potato pancakes. They're delicious!
2. Hopdoddy Burger Bar - 1805 21st Avenue South, Suite 100
This fun American food spot is Texas born and bred, but has spread its wings in Nashville. Its burgers are great for a chill hangout with friends or an easy family dinner.
3. Jackson's - 1800 21st Ave S
Jackson's may be best known for its cookie dough egg rolls, but its late-night dining options are great for college students and folks making their way home from midtown. Its outdoor patio is also a gem of the warmer months, if you're looking to get out and enjoy your meal in the sun.
4. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams - 1819 21st Ave S
Who would ever turn down ice cream...? Jeni's is lauded nationwide for its wide selection of eclectic flavors, and its intimate shop on 21st Avenue gives Hillsboro Village its own investment in the dessert market.
5. The Grilled Cheeserie - 2003 Belcourt Avenue
You can get a milkshake from the milkshake bar (yes!) or a decadent grilled cheese (dreamy) at the brick-and-mortar shop for the still popular Grilled Cheeserie. Born as a food truck, you're bound to fall in love with this classic American meal, served with a side of tots.
6. Double Dogs - 1807 21st Ave S
Great for a low-key hang session with friends, try the loaded hot dogs at the newly opened Double Dogs restaurant. There's no need to dress up or break the bank on this winner.
7. Biscuit Love - 2001 Belcourt Avenue
Biscuit Love is best known for its location in Nashville's downtown Gulch neighborhood, but we'd recommend its Hillsboro Village restaurant right off of the main 21st Avenue roadway. It's a bit further from the tourists, and a solid spot to snag a breakfast that'll stick to your bones.
8. Fido - 1812 21st Ave S
Fido has been around for a long while, a part of the Bongo Java empire and great for a solid meal or a quick cup of coffee on the go. We'd recommend the honey and cinnamon infused local latte.
Now that your stomach is full, you should probably check out the best spot in Tennessee.
