55 South is a quirky restaurant in itself, filled to the brim with stunning decor and a solid nod to the beauty of the lower United States. From the swampy lowlands of New Orleans to the rolling hills of Tennessee, you'll find an entree that presents the true personality of southern cooking. And now? Your brunch just got a million times better. Make your own Bloody Mary at either their Brentwood or Franklin location, with a handful of friends in tow, of course.
See you Saturday!
It's not just the Bloody Mary bar that should bring you to 55 South - but the draw of comfort food and specialty drinks that will make your weekend brunch or Wednesday evening and bit spicier.
There are two locations, and here you can see the space in Brentwood...
And here's the restaurant front located in downtown Franklin, beautifully decked out in a dusty navy blue and hiding a delectable menu inside.
Each are beautifully decked out in industrial chic decor, building out a true atmosphere of aesthetic that links the entirety of the south. 55 South is actually named for the highway that connects New Orleans to Tennessee, which only adds to the flavor of the place.
As for that Bloody Mary bar? You're given a glass of vodka on ice, and you have all sorts of decisions to make afterwards: Bloody Mary mix or tomato juice/? Bacon or blue cheese or shrimp or peppers or pickles or all of them...?
The Po' Boys of New Orleans fame are delicious and highly regarded by locals and visitors alike, whereas the Huevos Rancheros in the morning are absolutely delectable.
We're just going to leave this beautiful dish right here. D'you notice the shrimp and the bread and the sheer beauty of it all?! We do. Oh yes, we do.
Would you join for breakfast or brunch or dinner or any meal in-between? We'd recommend making a reservation and finding the time to indulge in a spicy taste of the south. New Orleans has never been so close, and Tennessee has never been so spicy.
If you haven't visited, this remote Tennessee restaurant is pretty amazing...
