It's no secret that Wheat Montana Bakery is one of the Treasure State's finest gems. Using high-quality flour from wheat grown and harvested on-site, some of the best bread in the country is made right in our own backyard. But if you're like most Montanans, all you can think about when you hear the name Wheat Montana are those scrumptious (and enormous) cinnamon rolls.
Wheat Montana is a family-owned corporation that has been a trusted household name for decades.
While you'll find several bakeries and cafes scattered around the state, the original location is in Three Forks, right next to the wheat fields.
Montana has had a reputation for producing amazing wheat for well over a century.
That's why Wheat Montana was established here. Their flour is high in protein and nutrient-filled thanks to their natural steel cut milling process.
Step inside the bakery and you'll instantly be flooded with delightful scents of freshly baked pastries.
Don't kid yourself and think you'll only stop in for a sandwich (although we highly recommend them). You'll definitely want to check out the pastry case.
The cinnamon rolls fly off the shelves faster than the team can bake them.
They're made fresh each morning, and sometimes sell out in just a few hours.
It's hard to describe how perfect this cinnamon roll is unless you've had one.
It's baked to perfection, moist, flavorful, and sticky in all the right ways.
There's no need to get your cinnamon roll frosted to experience the fantastic flavor, but you should anyway.
If you're going to get wet, you might as well go swimming. Plus, the icing here is wonderful.
Wheat Montana's Three Forks bakery is open daily from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
If it's been a while since you've been here, it's worth the drive to make this your ultimate day trip destination.
