Waiting in line to eat is one of the worst forms of torture... unless, of course, you're waiting to enjoy one of the best meals of your entire life (or at least your weekend). If you don't make a reservation at one of these Montana restaurants, know that they're definitely worth waiting for.
1. The Mint Cafe & Bar, 27 E Main St., Belgrade
The Mint may have closed down a time or two since its beginnings, but each time it makes a comeback, it returns better than ever.
2. Sir Scott's Oasis Steakhouse & Lounge, 204 W Main St., Manhattan
Unfortunately, Sir Scott's Oasis has permanently closed.Montana's most famous steakhouse is definitely famous for a reason. It's worth waiting for a seat here.
3. Buffalo Cafe, 514 E 3rd St. Whitefish, MT
The food at this beloved mom & pop restaurant is delicious... but you're probably going to have to wait for awhile to find out.
4. The Fieldhouse, 2601 Minnesota Ave. Ste 3, Billings
From the locally sourced food to the friendly service and cool ambiance, everything about The Fieldhouse is excellent (and worth waiting for).
5. Stockyard Cafe, 1018 E Griffin Dr., Bozeman
Typically, Stockyard Cafe is only open during the summer - and even then, their hours are limited since they're a small family business. But if you manage to get a seat, you won't leave hungry or disappointed.
6. Land of Magic Dinner Club, 11060 Front St., Logan
These twice baked potatoes are indescribably amazing. You'll probably have to wait for a table on the weekends without a reservation, but it's worth it.
7. Tamarack Brewing Company, 231 W Front St., Missoula
From the boozy brunches to the hearty entrees, people sure do love the food and the brew at Tamarack. We really can't blame them.
It's no secret that we love a good meal here in Montana. And sometimes it's our unassuming restaurants that serve the best food.
