By now, you probably know all about the best restaurants in your town. But sometimes our excellent eateries have a tendency of flying under the radar, especially if you're visiting a new Montana city or you don't dine out much. These are a few of our restaurants that don't always get the attention they deserve, but always manage to serve their patrons delicious food.
1. Bisl Food, 33 W Main St., Bozeman
Bozeman has become quite the city for foodies, and when you're downtown, you'll find amazing eateries in every direction. That's probably how this charming place sometimes gets overlooked, even by locals.
2. The Athenian, 18 N 29th St., Billings
Every single one of those chairs would be occupied if everyone in Billings knew how tasty the gyros and fries at The Athenian are.
3. Brian's Top Notch Cafe, 718 Central Ave., Great Falls
There's certainly no shortage of stick-to-your-ribs comfort food in Great Falls. The meals at Brian's Top Notch Cafe are cooked by Brian himself, so you know you're truly supporting a local business when you dine here.
4. The Desoto Grill, 227 1st St W., Kalispell
Although this building is hard to miss, unless you call Kalispell home, you've probably never heard of this amazing place. It's an old blacksmith-shop-turned-restaurant that serves exceptional BBQ and giant sandwiches.
5. Last Chance Creperie, 855 Great Northern Blvd., Helena
This amazing place, a true hidden gem, serves both sweet and savory crepes that are downright addictive.
6. Soma-Dis Deli, 501 2nd Ave S., Glasgow
Not only are the soups and sandwiches at Soma-Dis Deli downright delightful, but the atmosphere and the service are both excellent.
7. Nara Korean BBQ & Sushi, 3075 N Reserve St. Ste K, Missoula
There are several great options for sushi in Missoula, so Nara sometimes gets overlooked. But there's a little something for everyone on the menu here, and it's all delicious.
8. Nation’s Burger Station, 205 Central Ave., Browning
YUM. The next time you're in need of a quick meal on your way to Glacier or you just feel like ice cream on a warm day, check out Nation’s Burger Station.
9. Tea Kettle Cafe, 420 Nucleus Ave., Columbia Falls
It's easy to miss this tiny little cafe in Columbia Falls, but if you manage to find it, you'll discover that the portions are hearty, the prices are reasonable and the food is quite good.
10. Baker's Cupboard, 1616 Main St., Miles City
Baker's Cupboard is a fairly new bakery, cafe, and art gallery in Miles City, and it's wonderful. It won't be long before this place is a local favorite, if it isn't already.
11. Park & Main Cafe, 8 W Park St., Ste A, Butte
Park & Main is already a beloved local staple, but if you're visiting and you're in need of a savory brunch served with a smile, you'll love it here.
Here in Montana, we love our classic dining establishments and our brand new eateries. Here's a list of friendly neighborhood restaurants.
