Once upon a time, in Butte, Montana in 1905, a little cafe was born. That little cafe grew up to be a big-time eatery in town, serving miners, locals, and tourists alike. And now, over a century later, Butte's Gamer's Cafe is one of the longest-running businesses in the Treasure State. And luckily, it's as popular as ever.
Gamer's Cafe sits at 15 W Park Street in this vibrant historic building.
The building has been renovated and replenished over the years, but it still maintains its original historic charms.
Step inside and prepare to be transported to the turn of the 20th century.
This place feels like traveling back in time in the best way.
When the current owners, Paul and Pam Cote, purchased this place in 1993, they went to work restoring and renovating the space.
The eatery is family-owned and operated to this day, and you'll often see the family's oldest daughter, Heather, running the show.
Gamer's Cafe starts each morning serving a hearty, stick-to-your-ribs breakfast selection.
The omelets and griddle cakes are second to none, and everything is made from scratch.
If you come in a little later in the day, we highly recommend treating yourself to a traditional Cornish Pasty.
Butte is well-known for its pasty selection, and it just happens to be the specialty here.
Of course, you can never go wrong with classic comforts like Polish mac & cheese or a pork chop sandwich.
And if you manage to save room for dessert, you won't regret it.
Gamer's Cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch, except for Sundays, when they open at 8 a.m.
Come allow yourself to be charmed by this old-fashioned diner. We want gems like this to stick around!
