There's no shortage of spots to get a mouthwatering home-cooked meal in Montana, and for that we are thankful. In a time where fast-casual tends to be the norm, we can all appreciate some good old-fashioned country cooking. If you want a breakfast that sticks to your ribs without emptying your wallet, check out The Farmhouse in Gallatin Gateway.
You'll find The Farmhouse Cafe on Gallatin Road on the outskirts of Bozeman.
This little roadside gem doesn't look like much from the outside, but step inside and you'll see how special it is.
The cozy indoor dining area is full of rustic decor and personal touches.
You'll be bombarded with the smell of breakfast on the griddle, simmering soups, or freshly baked cinnamon rolls.
They really take the farmhouse decor seriously here, and we love it.
The hospitality is authentic as well. Not only is the team eager to serve you delicious food, but they're also concerned about your safety. You'll be given plenty of space, and all guests and staff wear masks when they aren't seated.
While this is primarily known as a breakfast joint, you can also order lunch here daily.
And with things like freshly-made chicken noodle soup on the menu, we highly recommend doing just that.
That said, the breakfasts are clearly the main attraction here, and they're phenomenal.
From country fried steaks to scrambles, omelets, and housemade gravy, you'll have fun deciding how to fill up here.
Whatever you do, make every effort to save room for a freshly baked cinnamon bun before you go.
They are truly out of this world.
If you're more comfortable eating at home, you're welcome to order takeout instead.
Your breakfast will taste just as good on your own plate. We promise.
The Farmhouse is currently open Thursday - Monday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you live in Gallatin County, this is the best way to start your day.
