Everyone knows that Bozeman is Bobcat Country, a nod to the nearby Montana State University. And if you dine at the iconic Cateye Cafe, you can really take that cat love to the next level. This eccentric eatery is not only cat-themed but also serves some of the best brunches in town -- and that's a paw-mise.
You'll find the charming Cateye Cafe on North Tracy Avenue, just off Bozeman's Main Street.
Although the building isn't large, it's pretty much impossible to miss.
The owners, Tina and Kevin Caracciolo, bring a passion for cooking and customer service to the business, which they have owned for two decades.
They are cat owners themselves, although they leave their beloved felines at home.
Kitschy cat decor and touches of home greet you in the dining room -- and that's exactly how the team wants you to feel when you dine here: like you're at home.
And just like home, there are some pretty important and hilarious "rules" typed out for guests, such as "ask for water if you want it," "finish your coffee," and "don't camp" (meaning you should pay your bill and be on your way if hungry people are waiting to eat).
The Cateye Cafe serves breakfast and lunch daily, and both are absolutely delicious.
You'll find all your favorite breakfast classics here along with some pretty creative options.
Some of the breakfast sandwiches (or Sammys) are named after cats, like the Alley Cat and the Tom Cat.
The lunch menu is full of tasty burgers, sandwiches, and meatloaf, so even if you sleep in and miss breakfast, you won't be disappointed.
The cafe also serves beer, wine, and mimosas.
But don't drink and drive, a sign warns, or you'll be "in big trouble with Kev."
If you love your dining experience (and you will), you're welcome to purchase swag.
Grab a hat, t-shirt, sweatshirt, or cat paw underwear to commemorate your visit.
The Cateye Cafe is open on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and closes at 2:00 on Saturdays and Sundays).
They don't take reservations, so you may have you wait for your meal -- but it will be well worth it.
Did we make you hungry? Check out The Cateye Cafe the next time you're in Bozeman.
