Of course, it would take weeks (or months) to drive around our massive state and sample every one of Montana's best burgers. This is meant to be a weekend road trip for those bold enough to eat a ridiculous amount of beef in a short period of time. We promise, it will be worth it.

1. Mark’s In & Out, 801 W Park St., Livingston
Mark's is open seasonally, but if you tackle this burger trail from March-October, starting at this iconic burger joint is a must. They've been serving tasty burgers and shakes since 1954.
2. Thirsty Turtle, 37 Mc Leod St., Big Timber
Not only does the Thirsty Turtle serve some of the best BBQ sandwiches in Montana, but they also happen to have excellent burgers.
3. The Burger Dive, 114 N. 27th St., Billings
The lunchtime lines at the Burger Dive will tell you everything you need to know about how good the food is here. This place is known statewide for their flavorful, filling burgers.
4. Rod's Drive Inn, 1827 5th Ave., Havre
If you haven't had an Ugly Burger from Rod's, you're truly missing out on a quintessential Montana experience.
5. Roadhouse Diner, 613 15th St N., Great Falls
You'll never forget your first Roadhouse Diner burger. This place is totally addictive.
6. Heap Burger, 1243 W Oak St., Bozeman
You'll find the Heap Burger truck on Oak Street serving 1/3 pound grilled patties on fresh buns from On the Rise Bakery. They're incredible.
