Pizza is the most loved food in America and our standards are high, so it’s extremely important that it’s made well. Luckily, Montana is full of delicious spots to grab a slice. These are just a few of the highest rated pizza restaurants in the state. If you live nearby any of these places and haven’t been yet, put them on your must-try list.
1. Eugene’s Pizza, Glasow
Eugene’s attracts customers from Glasgow, the 10 small towns nearby, and even other countries. They’ve developed quite the following since their 1962 beginnings, and if you try their pizza, you’ll understand why. Eugene’s will even ship half-cooked pizzas all over the country, so if you move away from Montana, you can still get your fix.
2. Biga Pizza, Missoula
Missoula is a college town, so pizza is in high demand. There are plenty of great options in the area, but Piga Pizza’s brick oven pies are in a league of their own.
3. Broadway Cafe, Butte
Inside that old brick building you’ll find some of the best pizza in Butte. The crust is the perfect mix of crunchy and soft, the toppings are fresh and they’ve also got a good selection of salads for those who want to balance their meal with some veggies.
4. Blackbird Kitchen, Bozeman
Feeling a little fancy? Blackbird Kitchen serves wood fired pizza with impressive toppings like arugula, fennel sausage and smoked prosciutto (but not on the same pie, unless that’s what you’re going for).
5. Colombo’s Pizza and Pasta, Bozeman
If you’re looking for more of a classic pie in Bozeman, Colombo’s staff will serve it to you with a beer and a smile.
6. Moose’s Saloon, Kalispell
Located in downtown Kalispell, Moose’s Saloon is a local favorite and a popular stop for those traveling to and from Glacier National Park.
7. Nalivka’s Original Pizza Kitchen, Havre
Nalivka’s has been a local favorite for over 50 years. They serve the kind of classic, heavy, amazing pies every pizza lover can appreciate.
8. Leaning Tower of Pizza, Basin
With a name like that, you can’t help but be curious. Leaning Tower doesn’t disappoint. One Yelper says it’s "the best pizza pie you’ll ever put in your mouth, hands down."
9. Bullman’s Pizza, Billings, Helena and Kalispell
Bullman’s is now a chain (you can also find it in Coeur d’alene, Idaho) but the original restaurant opened in Helena in 2006. The fact that they now have four locations should be a clue to how amazingly delicious their wood fired pizza is.
10. Wild West Pizzeria and Saloon, West Yellowstone
In addition to the delicious pizza, you’ll be treated to live entertainment at Wild West Pizzeria if you time your visit right.
11. When in Rome, Bigfork
Once upon a time, an Albanian man living in Italy fell in love with a young woman from Montana who was studying in Rome. They eventually moved to Big Fork, went to culinary school and opened When In Rome. Just like the backstory, the pizza is wonderful.
12. MacKenzie River Pizza Company
The "Big Pie from the Big Sky" first opened in Bozeman 22 years ago. It’s now available in several states, but it will always be a Montana staple.
13. Powder Keg Pizza, Fairview
This tiny town that sits along the North Dakota border happens to have some of the tastiest pizza in the area. The restaurant itself is also charming, with video games for kids and adults alike.
