If someone asks you about your summer plans and you simply answer with "A Bar," you may be met with funny looks (or a possible intervention). But anyone who has heard of A Bar in Bigfork will know what you mean. This charming gathering spot opened in 2019, and it has been a beloved local treasure ever since. Here's why you need to visit this summer.
You'll find A Bar at the corner of the intersection of Highway 83 and Highway 209, inside an A-frame that's impossible to miss.
The building had been standing since 1973 and needed some serious updates, which the owners were more than happy to arrange.
While everything from the floors to the electrical system is brand new, there are still some original structures inside.
This place is the perfect combination of old and new.
While the menu here rotates, you can always count on a delicious burger or something equally as tasty.
This is far from your basic bar food.
And burgers aren't the only thing on the menu - ask what the weekly specials are. Trust us.
From pasta to ribs and hearty steaks, you'll find some seriously gourmet goodness here. And since this place is kid-friendly during the peak dining hours, you can bring the entire family.
A Bar is open all year, but we highly recommend visiting in the summertime if you can.
The patio here is fantastic and well-equipped to brave the elements.
When A Bar first opened, the owners dreamed of hosting live music... and look at them now.
They're gearing up for a fantastic summer.
A Bar is open daily from 11 a.m. until midnight.
Montana summers are fleeting, so order a cold one and grab a seat here while you can.
