Tucked on a corner of Marconi Avenue in St. Louis, Vitale's Bakery has been satisfying Missourians' sweet tooth since 1976.
It's one of those old-fashioned Italian bakeries where you'll feel right at home when you walk through the front door. The quaint bakery has been family-owned since the very beginning.
Don't be too surprised if your mouth begins to water when you start looking at the many delicious pastries in the display cases.
You'll find a little bit of everything, including freshly-baked breads. Vitale's Bakery, in fact, makes its bread for numerous local restaurants.
Browse the display case for your favorites, including biscotti, amaretto, and classic butter chocolate chip cookies.
You probably won't want to pass by the chocolate-covered macaroons or the turtles. (What's available when you visit will likely vary.)
