Missouri is full of farms that offer fresh produce, and many of them allow you to pick it yourself.  There are so many (over 100 that I am aware of) though I was only able to list a few.  For a more comprehensive list, visit pickyourown.org where you can search by county.

1. Schweizer Orchards, 5455 S.E. State Route FF, St. Joseph

For four generations, Schweizer provides you-pick apples as well as peaches, pumpkins and Christmas trees. They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Visit their website at Schweizer Orchards for more information.

2. Lost Branch Blueberry Farm, 21507 Lost Branch Way, Brashear

Lost Branch is a you-pick blueberry plantation established in 2005, and they are open for picking from late June until early July. Visit Lost Branch Blueberry Farm for more information.

3. The Berry Patch, 22509 State Line Road, Cleveland

Offering you-pick blueberries and blackberries since 1980, they are open in season on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m to noon, and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The season has officially ended this year but they are still offering off season hours on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon until the first freeze. They also have a store with fresh daily made baked goods, jams and jellies, syrups and much more. Kids activities are available as well as blueberry plants for sale. 4. Babb Blueberry Farm, 2751 highway 50, Beaufort

Besides you-pick blueberries, they also have apples, cherries, other citrus, pears, plums and strawberries, as well as restrooms, a picnic area and more. Follow them on facebook for seasonal information and hours.

5. G’s Orchard, 2096 Farm Road 1130, Verona

G’s has been offering traditional seasonal fruits and a few vegetables since 2003. They are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from mid-June through July. Follow their Facebook page at G’s Orchard for news and seasonal information.

6. Trace Creek Blues, Cr 828 Route 1 Box 1685, Glenallen

Trace Creek offers u-pick blueberries, stained glass and custom sawmilling. For seasonal information and hours, visit them on Facebook at Trace Creek Blues.

7. Mule Barn Berries, 223 NE Mule Barn Road, Lathrop

Besides pick-able strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, Mule Barn also has jams and jellies. They closed on August 15th this year, and will start up again in April or May. Visit Mule Barn Berries for more information.

8. Heritage Valley Tree Farm, 1668 Four Mile Road, Washington

Heritage has a pecan grove, u-pick apples, and a cut Christmas tree farm. They have been a family owned business for over 100 years. Follow them on Facebook for updates on picking availability and hours, or their website at Heritage Valley Tree Farm.

9. Kenney Family Farms, 9505 South 1471 Road, Stockton

Open for tours of their farm for throughout the year, they offer u-pick strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, as well as sweet corn, gooseberries, onions, and honey. 10. West Orchards, 25875 Jewell Avenue, Macon

Open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., West Orchards has several varieties of apples as well as raw honey, peaches, apricots and pears. 11. John & Linda's Fruit and Berry Farm, 2428 Texas Prairie Road, Bates City

John and Linda currently have u-pick red raspberries available until the first freeze. They offer a large variety of fruits in season including strawberries, apples, blackberries, peaches, pears and more. They regularly post updates about available crops and picking hours on their Facebook page.

12. Centennial Farms

Centennial Farms is known for apple picking and being a fall pumpkin fantasyland each fall. They have 16 varieties of apples from mid-August until late October, and are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. 13. Black and Blue Berry Farm, 5313 South Farm Road 241, Rogersville

Besides blueberries from mid-June to early July and blackberries from mid-July to late July, Black and Blue also has custom made furniture. They have been in business since 2012. Find out more at Black and Blue Berry Farm.

14. Buckeye Acres, 91 NW 600th Road, Warrensburg

Since 1983, Buckeye acres has provided you-pick strawberries and blueberries in season and a pumpkin patch and other fall activities. They also offer seasonal produce including tomatoes, gourds, green beans, corn and more. They also have jams and jellies, dried flowers and flower arrangements. 15. Herman’s Farm, 3663 N. Highway 94, St. Charles

Herman’s Farm is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily until October 31st. They offer apples, blackberries, nectarines, peaches, pumpkins, tomatoes, and eggs. They regularly update their Facebook page with crop information, or you can visit their webpage at Herman’s Farm.
