There are so many great places to grab a sandwich in Missouri, it's difficult to narrow down who might make the best. Here are a few that have been mentioned by those in the know as standing above the crowd, along with the sandwiches they are known for.

1. BLT, Crown Candy Kitchen, St. Louis

Candy Crown Kitchen was featured on Adam Richman's Best Sandwich on the Travel Channel for their BLT.

2. Italian Sandwich, Snarf’s, St. Louis

Snarf's Italian Sandwich was featured in RFT's top 5 sandwiches in STL 2011 as #1.

The sandwich is made with Salami, Pepperoni, Capicola, Mortadella, and Provolone and, as all of Snarf's sandwiches do, it comes toasted.

You can find them at at several locations in St. Louis.

3. The St. Paul, Park Chop Suey, Lafayette Square, St. Louis.

In 2013 Zagat named Park Chop Suey's "The St. Paul" one of the 50 states/50 sandwiches for Missouri. This sandwich with asian flare is made with hot egg foo yong smothered in mayonnaise and pickle, topped with lettuce and tomato and served on white bread.

The ComoCollective.com named the Sub Shop's Veggie Sub #1 in the Top Ten Sandwiches in Columbia, MO

5. Heart Turkey Salami Panini, Café Blackadder, Warrensburg

Named the "Best Sandwich" of 2014 by Rural Missouri at nxtbook.com, you gotta try the Hearty Turkey Salami Panini at Cafe Blackadder.

6. Breaded Pork Tenderloin, Kitty’s Café, Kansas Cit

The midwest is big on pork tenderloin, so it was kind of a big deal when seriouseats.com named Kitty's as one of the best in the midwest!

7. The Classic Heat, YJ’s Snack Bar, Kansas City

YJ's was featured on Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives and features "The Classic Heat" as one of the best sandwich options.
