Pirates and pizza may seem like an odd combination, but that’s exactly what you’ll find at The Ugly Pirate in Bay St. Louis. In only six years, the pirate themed eatery has become a local favorite known for serving up good pizza and good times. Take a look:
A pizza joint by day and dive bar by night, The Ugly Pirate is located about a block from the beach in Bay St. Louis.
It’s "Mississippi's first official pirate pub and café," so a one-of-a-kind experience is practically guaranteed.
Just as you’d expect from a pirate themed café and pub, the vibe is fun-filled and laidback.
The Ugly Pirate is a popular spot for libations, but that doesn’t mean it’s not kid friendly…
The kitchen, which has a reputation for making incredible pizza, opens at 4 pm on Monday, Thursday and Friday, and at 11 am on the weekends.
In addition to classic pizzas, like pepperoni, the menu includes custom creations, like the Ugly Pizza. The hearty pie has over a dozen toppings!
With two sizes available – personal pan and 14" – the pizzas are the perfect option for everyone from sole diners to entire families.
Aside from pizza, the tasty fare includes overstuffed sandwiches and gyros, which are another specialty.
Since this is a local favorite, the quaint dining area fills up fast but don’t worry…
…there’s plenty of outdoor seating.
A great place to spend the day and night, The Ugly Pirate hosts all kinds of fun events, including trivia nights and live music on the weekends.
