Ole Country Bakery is one of the only places in the Magnolia State where you can find fresh Amish baked goods. The bakery sells everything from pastries and pies to breads and muffins. And the best part is, it’s all homemade and preservative free! As one of the only Amish bakeries in Mississippi, Ole Country Bakery is definitely worth a visit. You're going to love everything you see at this old-time bakery in Mississippi.
Located in the tiny town of Brooksville, Ole Country Bakery has been serving up incredible baked goods since 1981.
The bakery is owned by and employs Mennonites. Very similar to the Amish, Mennonites are members of Anabaptist sects, which formed as part of the Protestant Reformation.
Offering a tasty variety, Ole Country Bakery makes pastries, pies, bread, and more.
All time customer favorites include Amish Friendship sweet bread, apple pies, pecan pies, and bread pudding.
Each and every item at the bakery is made fresh, with the main baker arriving at 3:30 a.m. each day!
There's even a window, so you can watch as bread and other baked goods are made.
Aside from freshness, the food’s tastiness can be attributed to the preservative free preparation. A lack of preservatives means the baked goods expire sooner, but the shorter shelf life is more than compensated for in taste.
The baked goods alone are reason enough to visit the bakery, but they’re not the only reason. There's also a deli, which serves up hearty ham and turkey sandwiches on fresh baked bread.
