One of Starkville’s most recent additions, Churn and Spoon serves hand-dipped ice cream, nitro ice cream, and other "magnificent frozen treats."

It’s located at 605 MS-12 in Starkville.

Though only open since 2016, the eatery has already become a local favorite – long lines are the norm (but the wait it totally worth it, we promise).

Step up to the counter and peruse the display case, which is filled with artisanal, locally-made ice cream in a variety of flavors.

The "imaginative selection" includes everything from standard flavors to one-of-a-kind creations.

Stick with a classic, like chocolate or cookies and cream, or try a signature flavor, like Blue Cotton Candy or Cold Brew (pictured below).

Can’t make up your mind? No problem; you can combine several flavors for a delightfully tasty treat.

And the homemade goodness doesn't end with the ice cream.

Make your sweet treat even sweeter with a waffle cone. Made onsite, the cones come plain or dipped.

Dress us your ice cream with a variety of toppings, like fudge, gummy bears, sprinkles, and pecans.

In the mood for something a bit different? Try the nitro ice cream, which is made by combining an ice cream base with -321 degree liquid nitrogen.

The unique process prevents ice crystals from forming, resulting in a treat that tastes like a mixture of gelato and soft serve ice cream.
