Great morning, noon, or night, a Bloody Mary has to be one of the most versatile (and best) drinks around! Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants in the Magnolia State that make amazing versions of the classic beverage; here are 9 of our favorites.
1. Capitol Grill (5050 I-55 North, Suite F, Jackson)
At this "upscale sports bar," all the food is handmade and creatively named. Each item on the menu has an SEC inspired moniker and that includes the Bloody Mary, which is known officially as the Crimson Tide Bloody Mary. A must-have at Capitol Grill, the delicious drink is served in a bacon salt rimmed glass and topped off with classic garnishments.
2. Maison De Lu (626 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs)
In addition to creative sandwiches, specialty soups, salads, steaks, seafood, and desserts, this Ocean Springs eatery serves one mean Bloody Mary. It’s so good, in fact, it’s often referred to as the "best in the state."
3. 10 South Rooftop Bar and Grill (1301 Washington Street, Vicksburg)
If you’re craving a great Bloody Mary and amazing views, this rooftop eatery in Vicksburg can deliver. Dubbed the "ultimate Bloody Mary" by patrons, the tasty beverage comes loaded with classic garnishments, like okra, green beans, and bacon.
4. Bayview Gourmet Restaurant (1010 Robinson Street, Ocean Springs)
This coastal eatery has won the "Best Sunday Brunch Covey Award" six times, so it makes perfect sense that it's mastered the art of making a great Bloody Mary. Practically an entire meal, it's dressed up with an array of toppings that include everything from green olives to fresh Gulf shrimp.
5. Big Bad Breakfast (719 N. Lamar Boulevard, Oxford)
A delicious breakfast just can’t be beat; unless, of course, it’s accompanied by an equally delicious Bloody Mary. And that’s where Big Bad Breakfast comes in. The all-day breakfast menu includes everything from standard egg plates to signature creations – any of which would be perfectly complemented by the unofficial cocktail of breakfast.
6. Central Station Grill (200 S. Montgomery Street, Starkville)
If you’re a diehard Bloody Mary fan, then a visit to Central Station Grill is a must. In addition to serving amazing Bloody Marys, the eatery has an entire bar devoted to them. That’s right; visit Central Station Grill on a Saturday or Sunday and you can enjoy the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, which includes everything you need to create the ultimate Bloody Mary.
7. Fairpark Grill (343 E. Main Street, Tupelo)
Another great place to get your fill of the classic cocktail, Fairpark Grill in Tupelo also features a Bloody Mary bar. Open every weekend, the expansive spread is made up of all sorts of tasty toppings, including everything from fresh veggies to a variety of meats and seasonings.
8. Keg and Barrel (1315 Hardy Street, Hattiesburg)
Serving "southern pub grub" in a late 19th century home, a visit to Keg and Barrel is sure to be a memorable one. The extensive drink menu includes over 120 beers, signature cocktails, and amazing Bloody Marys, of course. Visit on a Sunday, from 11 – 3, and you can check out the Bloody Mary bar where you can create your perfect version of the classic cocktail.
9. Another Broken Egg Café (1000 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ste. 1009, Ridgeland)
Though this Ridgeland eatery serves a standard café fare of breakfast dishes, sandwiches, and specials, it’s far from your typical café. And that’s because it also sells mouthwatering Bloody Marys, which are made using a signature mix. Even better, you can buy the mix to take home with you.
