It's not every day that you find a great restaurant that also offers entertainment - but today you will. Betty Danger's Country Club in Minneapolis is a fun take on the country club stereotype. You will find the golf pants and polo shirts you might imagine, but you won't find the stuffy, exclusive attitude often present at a real country club. Not only that, but Betty Danger's offers entertainment - including a ferris wheel patio -that you just can't find anywhere else. This is one quirky restaurant you're bound to love.
Betty Danger’s Country Club is an irreverently preppy restaurant that styles itself as "the country club for the 99%."
But what does that mean? Basically, you don't have to be a member. Regular country club dues don't apply - because Betty Danger's isn't really a country club.
But the country club theme is still important. Many guests get into it by dressing up in their preppy best. Casual attire is still acceptable, though. All are welcome here.
The entire restaurant is decked out in a bright, quirky scheme. Hot pink and neon green set the tone.
Preppy accents like checkered tablecloths transform the dining area. Elaborate wallpapers decked out in quirky art also add to the fun atmosphere.
But what's atmosphere if there's no food? You'll find seriously great food described as a combination of "Minnesota, Mexico, and The Hamptons." Intriguing, right?
The restaurant often hosts fun events, like its 2015 Fall Cotillion, where people dressed to mingle in their ballroom best.
Like any good country club, guests are welcome to a round of golf. But unlike most country clubs, this is a mini golf course featuring colorful, quirky statues.
But the most unusual thing about Betty Danger's is its ferris wheel known as the Danger.
Guests can line up on a first-come, first-served basis to ride this revolving patio.
Your ride comes with your meal, a drink, and an unforgettable view of Minneapolis - the perfect complement to your quirky experience.
Betty Danger's is located at 2501 Marshall Street Northeast in Minneapolis. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
