Today, let's add one more spot to the list. There's an old train in Minnesota that is now a restaurant, and you absolutely have to visit.
The Whistle Stop Diner is a lovely little spot in Benson, Minnesota, a small town in the western part of the state. The address is 1220 Atlantic Ave., Benson, MN 56215.
From the outside, you can see how charming this restaurant is. But once you learn its history, you'll love it even more. Whistle Stop Diner is actually an old 1878 train car!
The train was later pushed to its current location, soon becoming one of the best small-town restaurants in the state.
Go inside, and you'll be charmed by how much it still resembles an old train. The curved ceilings and old windows will take you back.
The dining area is cozy and comfortable, with plenty of room to enjoy your meal even when the restaurant gets busy.
