Minnesota may not be the first place you think of when you imagine great burritos. But that doesn't mean the Land of 10,000 Lakes isn't home to more than a few great burrito joints. One of the best is a little spot in Duluth, Minnesota, that has some truly unique offerings. While none of the options is authentically Mexican - in fact, the restaurant prides itself as an inauthentic Mexican restaurant - each of the massive burritos is truly delicious. Take a look:
Burrito Union is one of Minnesota's most unique restaurants. You'll find it in the northern half of the state, not far from the shores of Lake Superior. The address is 1332 E. 4th St., Duluth, MN 55805.
In warmer months, there's a great patio where you can sit under the sun and watch activity on the street below.
The indoor dining area is great, too. It's comfortable, interesting, and full of friendly staff.
If you're up for it, try a margarita. There are several different flavors, all delicious, and they'll accompany your meal perfectly.
As for the food, Burrito Union has a lot of unique choices. The taco options include everything from al pastor to avocado to buffalo chicken.
But Burrito Union is, of course, known for its massive burritos. Like the tacos, they come in a variety of options.
If you're craving something more Mexican inspired, try the Rasputin. With spicy peppers, plenty of cheese, guac, carnitas, and more, it'll fill you up for the rest of the day.
Other options include the buffalo chicken, the Jamaican jerk, and many more. No matter which burrito you get, it's going to be amazing - and huge!
