Minnesota may be thousands of miles from Hawaii, and our typical weather is even further from the Aloha state. But that doesn't mean we can't get a taste of paradise here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. As the weather gets warmer, you may want to try out one of the state's tropical-themed restaurants. One of our favorites is a spot known for its delicious food, fun atmosphere, and stiff drinks. Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge is a Hawaiian-themed restaurant that will transport you straight to the islands. Check it out:
Psycho Suzi's is a popular spot right on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The address is 1900 Marshall St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418.
As soon as you walk in, you'll be impressed by the fun, tropical atmosphere.
Twinkle lights and tiki heads will make you feel like you've found your own island paradise.
Eating inside is fun, but if the weather is warm, go for the patio.
Shaded by a wide umbrella, you'll have glorious water views. It's especially nice as the sun goes down.
As for the food, it's delightful. Pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and salads are up for grabs.
Many items have a tropical theme, featuring pineapple, mango, and other island fruits.
The food is good, but this restaurant may be most known for its menu of tiki drinks. You can't go wrong with a traditional Mai Tai.
But if you're craving something different, they've got you covered. Fun options like the Coconaut, the Beachcomber, or the Psycho Zombie - to name a few - are served in fun tropical-themed cups.
