We all love going out for pizza or pasta or a nice steak dinner every now and then. But what about that one food that is so often thrown into brown bag lunches without a care? Mayslack's is a Minneapolis bar and restaurant with a menu full of tasty options. But the restaurant is known for its scrumptious roast beef sandwiches.

Minnesota loves its bánh mì sandwiches. There are plenty of places to get your fix, but Jasmine Deli in Minneapolis's Whittier neighborhood may be one of the best. The owners pride themselves on using simple, fresh ingredients for their sandwiches. Choose from several different meat options.

3. Hola Arepa, Minneapolis

Hola Arepa started out as a food truck, but now it has a brick-and-mortar location in Minneapolis as well. No matter how you choose to partake, your arepa will be to die for. The menu offers 10 different options for these cornmeal griddle cake sandwiches.

4. Manny's Tortas, Minneapolis

There are 12 different tortas at Manny's, but they all come with cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, avocado, jalapeño peppers, refried beans, chipotle pepper mayo and chips.

5. Northern Waters Smokehaus, Duluth

Duluth's Northern Waters Smokehouse creates scrumptious - and creative -sandwiches using locally sourced handcrafted smoked meats. Ready for a culinary adventure? Try the Sitka Sushi sandwich.
