One of the perks of living in a coastal state is enjoying a great meal while gazing out into beautiful ocean waters. Massachusetts has so many wonderful restaurants with fantastic views! If you are lucky enough to own a boat, you can actually motor, paddle, or row your way over to a great meal. Check out our list of some fun drive-and-dine options and head out on the water for a delicious summer treat. 1. The Barking Crab
The Barking Crab is an iconic Boston seafood restaurant that has been serving up fantastic seafood since 1994. Patrons can enjoy beautiful views of Boston Harbor while eating lobster rolls, Alaskan king crab legs, and fried clams from outside patio tables or cozy indoor spots. 2. Captain Al's Restaurant and Tiki Bar
Captain Al’s Restaurant and Tiki Bar in Buzzard’s Bay is such a fun place to spend an afternoon! Drive your boat over and enjoy some delicious food and yummy tiki drinks while taking in the view of Buttermilk Bay from the restaurant’s patio. The restaurant regularly features live music and always has a fun summer vibe. Captain Al’s is located right next to the Continental Marina, so it is easily accessible by boat. 3. Jake's Seafood Restaurant and Fish Market
Jake’s Seafood Restaurant and Fish Market in Hull is another fantastic restaurant that is accessible via boat. This seasonal establishment has won awards for its outstanding food. 4. Mile Marker One Restaurant
If you are navigating the waters of the North Shore, you should definitely make a stop at the Mile Marker One Restaurant at Cape Ann's Marina Resort in Gloucester. This local hangout has great food and drinks which you can enjoy indoors, on the deck, or even in an enclosed igloo! Park your boat and come in for a meal or motor over for some yummy take-out. 5. Stonebridge Bar and Grill
Stonebridge Bar and Grill is a great dock-and-dine restaurant for Cape Cod boaters. If you don’t own a boat, no worries, you can rent one from the marina here!
