If you live in Massachusetts and have not yet been to Hebert Candy Mansion, you should make plans to visit.
The history of Hebert Candies dates back to more than 100 years ago. In 1917, a man by the name of Frederick Hebert began crafting chocolates and caramels in his kitchen using the finest ingredients he could find. He then sold the sweets to people in surrounding neighborhoods.
Demand for his delectable treats grew over the years, so he expanded operations and purchased a Tudor-style mansion in Shrewsbury in 1946. This became known as the "Candy Mansion."
In 1956, Mr. Hebert introduced the country to white chocolate after tasting some in Europe while searching for fine ingredients to use in his recipes. The popularity of white chocolate grew around the United States after his discovery and remains popular today.
Over 100 years later, Hebert's still uses the finest ingredients in its small-batch, handcrafted sweets. You can certainly taste the quality in every delicious bite.
Among the most popular items at the Candy Mansion are the Genevas - solid bites of milk, white, or 53% dark chocolate. They come in plain or with almond and are a must-buy product here!
Holidays are often the best times to visit Hebert's Candy Mansion. Not only is it festively decorated, but you'll find special treats that aren't available other times of the year. Around Easter, they make chocolate bunnies, baskets filled with all sorts of goodies, and some of the best jelly beans you'll ever have. And Christmas brings Santa pops, special gift boxes, and plenty of edible stocking stuffers.
