2. Bullwinkle's Family Steak House, Waldoboro

Bullwinkle's might be best-known for their incredible rib night, but don't forget that any night of the week you can get a great steak or a burger. Prefer a salad? Sure, they've got those too!

3. Mac's Grill, Auburn

For more than 20 years, this steakhouse in Auburn has been making memorable meals that include some of the best hand-cut sirloin steaks in the region. They also have plenty of chicken and seafood options for those who want to branch out.

4. Trail's End Steakhouse, Eustis

Along with being a great steakhouse, Trail's End is also a fun destination if you love snowmobiling. With tons of trails in the area, on a snowy days there's a good chance you'll find quite a few parked outside. And it's no wonder since they serve up some of the best entrees in the area.

5. J.R. Maxwell's Restaurant, Bath

Around since 1979, this restaurant truly knows how to make a great steak. Their black angus steak is known far and wide, but we also love their seafood options. Be sure to visit them for one of the roast prime rib nights.

6. Rustler's Steakhouse, Windham

The black angus steaks here are one of Rustler's specialties, but we also appreciate their large menu with seafood, chicken, salads and appetizers. The flank steak is pretty great, too.

7. Jack Russell's Steakhouse & Brewery, Bar Harbor

While Bar Harbor might not really be considered a small town, it definitely passes the test when compared to other states. This steakhouse is busy year-round, even when tourists have long gone back home. And for good reason! Everyone loves the Jack Russell’s Signature Steak, which can include filet mignon, New York sirloin, or ribeye.
