Part of what makes things here so special is the 35-ton wood burning pizza oven.
Because the market makes both pizza and bread, the oven has been designed to carry out both tasks efficiently...and deliciously.
A fire is built in the oven each morning around 11 a.m. and it stays roaring until about 9 p.m. This works great for pizza.
The oven was built specifically to have extra room around the cooking chamber, which allows it to stay at a good bread baking temperature for many hours after the fire goes out. This residual heat allows for optimal bread baking.
The bread is great, but it's the pizza we're here for!
Specials like this pie with prosciutto and peppers are a pretty regular find.
But you can't go wrong with any combination.
The "Opportunist" comes with pepperoni, capicola, sausage, burger and bacon. The "Supreme" includes pepperoni, sausage, burger, onion, mushroom, pepper, and olives. And, we love the aptly named, "Delicious" for it's pesto base with fresh mozzarella and fresh tomato.
There are lots of menu options here, but you can also start from scratch to create your own unique pie.
The inside is cozy and warm.
