Louisiana and seafood go together like peas and carrots. It's easily one of the most popular things we are known for, and luckily for us, we are fortunate enough to have endless options when it comes to eating delicious seafood. There's one place in northeastern Louisiana that's putting a new spin on seafood, and you need to try it. The seafood nachos at Trapp's are so good, you won't be able to stop eating them! Let's check it out.
If you find yourself in West Monroe with a hankering for some good old fashioned Cajun food, a pit stop at Trapp’s is in order.
Overlooking the beautiful Ouachita River, this family owned and operated joint opened its doors in 2015 and quickly became a popular neighborhood eatery.
Open for lunch and dinner five days a week, Trapp’s has a menu that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Cajun favorites like red beans and rice, crawfish étouffée, and hearty gumbo pepper the menu.
Their fried crawfish tails alone are enough of a reason to swing by. Perfectly seasoned and fried to a golden brown and served with their house made remoulade, you’ll find yourself wanting to lick the plate they’re so good.
But the star of the show at Trapp’s is their famous seafood nachos.
This Cajun spin on a Mexican classic starts with a bed of their homemade chips before being piled sky-high with fresh onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, fried crawfish tails, and grilled shrimp and a healthy blanket of homemade white queso dip.
They’re great as an appetizer for the table, but big enough to be a meal of their own! And they’re so good, you might find that you don’t want to share.
In addition to all their seafood dishes, you’ll also find several grill entrees like pork chops, burgers, salads, and some seriously decked-out spuds.
No matter what you’re in the mood for, Trapp’s has you covered.
For more information, be sure to check out their website and give them a follow on Facebook.
