1. Fleur de Lis Pizza

Fleur de Lis Pizza has been serving the Baton Rouge community since 1946, and many residents will tell you this is the best pizza in the world. Just remember to bring cash, they don’t accept credit cards (although there is an ATM inside). Located at 5655 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

2. Pizza Domenica

Delicious wood fired gourmet pizzas with a unique mix of toppings. How about a mushroom pizza with yard eggs? Or their spring onion pizza, with black pepper ricotta, hazelnuts, and honey? 3. Dean-o’s

Italian pizzas with a Cajun twist (obviously, I mean, they’re in the heart of Cajun Country!) They’re always coming up with new specialty pizzas that are a big hit. 4. G’s Pizza

5. LIT Pizza

This awesome little pizza joint serves blast fired pizzas around. Crispy, crispy (so nice we said it twice!) crust with some amazing toppings. Are you ready to get LIT? Located at 3930 Burbank Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808.

6. McClain’s Pizzeria

Crispy crust, fresh ingredients, wonderful customer service. It doesn’t get much better than that! Make sure you sit outside, the views of the lake are lovely! Located at 115 Girod Street, Mandeville, LA 70448.

7. Pizza Artista

Become your own pizza artist and build your own pizza from scratch, or select one of their specialty pizzas. Our recommendation is the Boucherie: A Boudin and Cracklin pizza with Steen’s Syrup. Or if you wanted to create your own pizza, with 80 different toppings to choose from, you’ll just have to come back again and again to try all the combinations. 8. Pizza Man

If you grew up in the area, you probably have fond memories of standing at the window as a child, watching them throwing the dough into the air, making the pizzas right before your eyes. Established in 1976, generations of families have shared a slice together at this Covington landmark. Located at 1248 N. Collins Blvd, Covington, LA 70433.

9. Redfish Pizza Co.

With 17 years of experience under their belt, you KNOW they know how to make pizza. They hand make their dough and shred their own mozzarella cheese every morning, which really makes the difference. Located at 224 S Hollywood Rd, Houma, Louisiana 70360.

10. Embers

They’ve got some amazingly unique specialty pizzas, as well as the classics everyone loves. They also have live music on the weekends so be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on the latest news! Located at 313 Desoto Street, Alexandria, LA 71301.

11. Frank’s Pizza Napoletana

Frank’s specializes in making pizza in the old world style of Naples. Their wood fired oven was made in Napoli using bricks from the volcanic material of Mount Vesuvius (how cool is that?) Their dedication to the craft of pizza making puts them ahead of most, and if you’ve ever eaten here, you can taste the difference. Located at 6950 Fern Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105.

12. Mid City Pizza

Using only the freshest ingredients, these pizzas are made with love and they’re certainly a community favorite. Located at 4400 Banks Street, New Orleans, LA 70119, and they recently (as in, earlier this week) opened up a second location at 6307 S. Miro Street in New Orleans)

13. Pop N Pizza

The ultimate comfort food. They’re known for their "injected breadsticks", filled with cheese and then topped with even more cheese. Practically perfect in every way! Located at 504 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71105.

14. Roma Italian Bistro

This family owned and operated Italian Bistro will quickly become your new favorite spot. Roma’s has locations in Ruston, Shreveport, Minden, and West Monroe.

15. Wildwood Pizza

It’s not a pizza bucket list unless you try a slice from the only authentic wood-fired pizza oven in central Louisiana! Located at 1260 Texas Ave, # H, Alexandria, Louisiana 71301.
