Well, festival season is in full swing, meaning the weather is beautiful and the evenings are getting longer. This also means it's the perfect time to start hanging outdoors! There are some amazing outdoor patios in New Orleans, and we have found some of the absolute best. From French Quarter courtyards to Magazine St. balconies, there is truly an amazing array of outdoor patios to lounge on in New Orleans. So get out there! It's going to be too hot soon!
1) The Country Club, 634 Louisa St.
This Bywater hangout is the perfect place to spend the day with friends or bring a date at night. The hot tub is awesome and the sauna is perfection!
2) The Velvet Cactus, 6300 Argonne Blvd.
A hidden lakeview gem with amazing margaritas and delicious Mexican food that you can enjoy on their amazing patio.
3) Balcony Bar, 3201 Magazine St.
This bar is centered around its amazing balcony that overlooks the heart of the Magazine St. corridor. The people watching here is awesome!
4) Casa Borrega, 1719 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.
Another awesome Mexican spot whose back outdoor seating is simply awesome!
5) F&M’s Patio Bar, 4841 Tchoupitoulas St.
While the crowd at F&M's can often be young and somewhat rowdy, the incredible patio area here is well worth it. And don't forget the cheese fries!
6) Palace Café, 605 Canal St.
One of the best ways to people watch on Canal St. in New Orleans is to grab a table at this upscale lunch and dinner joint. You won't be disappointed.
7) Green Goddess, 307 Exchange Pl.
An amazing restaurant with incredible food and tons of vegetarian options, Green Goddess is nestled on Exchange Place, and the outdoor seating will bring a smile to your face.
8) Napoleon House, 500 Chartres St.
The beautiful courtyard in this historic French Quarter building will send you back in time, just like the rest of the building.
9) Bayou Beer Garden, 326 N Jefferson Davis Pkwy
The combination outdoor bar, deck, stage, and tables here make Bayou Beer Garden a go-to mid-city spot.
10) Oxalis, 3162 Dauphine St.
The small plates and yummy cocktails here can make for a lovely evening on the courtyard.
11) Café Amelie, 912 Royal St.
One of the most beautiful courtyards in the French Quarter, the food at this restaurant just about matches the beauty of the surroundings.
12) Bulldog Bar, 3236 Magazine St.
This crowded patio is the place for Saints Games or other public events as there are great screens outdoors. And of course--the free glasses are awesome!
13) Bacchanal Wine, 600 Poland Ave.
This iconic Bywater hangout offers live music, delicious food, and an amazing selection of wine to ensure you have a classy evening.
14) Cane & Table, 1113 Decatur St.
This awesome French Quarter hang out and courtyard offers delicious cocktails and great food.
