Supper clubs were quite common decades ago, as families would get together and go out for an evening of dinner and entertainment. Now the traditional venues are all but extinct. Most are being replaced by modern versions, thus the days of the supper club are not over. These new restaurants try to create a unique and interesting version of the once popular dining establishments.
Here are 9 supper clubs that may not all be old fashioned, but will surely provide a good time and a great meal:
Beverly Hills Supper Club
This once huge supper club attraction was a popular spot for many in Southgate Kentucky, but in 1977, it became a raging inferno. On Memorial Day weekend, the blaze started injuring over 200 and killing 165 people. Though it no longer exists, it's perhaps the most infamous supper club in history. This's an honorable mention in the memory of those that didn’t survive.
9. Bleu Plate Tours
This is a traveling supper club in Lexington. It allows a variety, and lets everyone ride together and enjoy their supper with comradely.
8. Campbell Club
This fine dining supper club is known for its clean and quick service, and its delicious foods. You won’t find things like a bologna sandwich in this establishment, but you will leave wanting to return again soon. It's located at 517 Frederica Street in Owensboro.
7. Claudia Sanders Dinner House
Located at 3202 Shelbyville Road in Shelbyville, this is a restaurant reminiscent of an old home owned by Colonel Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken. This's a much more upscale version though, serving a variety of fine, southern and favored cuisine.

This unique supper club offers supper and entertainment, with daily shows. It's located in Newport at 1 Levee Way #2125, and offers some delicious American cuisine.
5. Piccadilly Restaurants
These family style restaurants serve up extremely appetizing southern cuisine, in a traditional style environment. The service is friendly and the food is fantastic, and includes an extensive soup and salad menu. In regards to their 2131 S Hurstbourne Parkway location in Louisville, I’ve had no complaints.
