Every small town in Kentucky seems to have a popular local hangout, and these places are even better when they serve up delicious food. If you're local to Silver Grove in northern Kentucky, then surely you know about Pelle's Bar & Restaurant. This hidden gem is loved by its community, and also attracts visitors from all over who are anxious to try its famous deep-fried cheeseburger. This Kentucky restaurant may be the definition of a hole in the wall, but its menu and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-try in the Bluegrass.

Pelle's is located on the corner of Mary Ingles Highway and Four Mile Road, in the heart of Silver Grove. This small town near the Ohio River is a quiet community that happens to have one lively gathering place with delicious food.

The bar and restaurant is definitely a destination for locals, but everyone is welcome. During the day, the eatery has a more family-friendly atmosphere, and at night it takes on more of a sports bar vibe.

The deep fryer stays very busy at Pelle's, as many things on the small menu are prepared this way. The list of burgers, appetizers, and chili sounds fairly typical of bar fare, but once you try it, you'll agree these are some of the best burgers and sandwiches anywhere.

Not all of the burgers on the menu are fried, and the Olive Burger is another popular choice. If you're not in the mood to indulge, go with the grilled chicken sandwich, but it's probably best to just go big or go home while dining here.
