Sometimes you find a restaurant out of the blue that quickly becomes your favorite. You fall in love at first bite, and forever remember that restaurant as one you can call home. Home for your appetite, that is! These restaurants have food so good you'll be back for seconds... and maybe thirds, as well.

1. Ad Astra Food and Drink - 318 Cottonwood St., Strong City, Kansas

Ad Astra is "Kansas" through and through, but they still serve everything from classic meals to vegan and gluten free food. Everyone can find food here, and it's all delicious.

2. Beaumont Hotel & RV Park - 11651 SE Main St., Beaumont, Kansas

Imagine giant breakfasts like this as you're staying here at the Beaumont, where you get to see amazing planes while you're here. Or, just eat at the restaurant, but who wouldn't love waking up to a breakfast like that?

3. Beethoven's #9 - 2 West Piankishaw, Paola, Kansas

Paola's restaurant Beethoven's #9 is an amazing German restaurant where you can fill yourself with flavors you don't find at home. That is, unless your family makes German cuisine from scratch all the time!

4. Bobo's Drive In - 2300 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas

Classic diners are few and far between, but Bobo's is a hidden treasure in Topeka. Doesn't this classic meal look amazing?

5. Bomber Burger - 4860 S Clifton Ave., Wichita, Kansas

Bomber Burger is a divey joint in Wichita that serves up fresh burgers and fries made right in front of you. Then, you get to dig into a greasy burger that you'll love eating.

6. Carriage Crossing - 10002 S Yoder Rd., Yoder, Kansas

Home style cooking doesn't get any better than Carriage Crossing, where the local Amish population of Yoder makes the best fresh pies and giant cinnamon rolls. Of course, the dinners there are good too, just don't forget to grab breakfast on your way out! These cinnamon rolls really are huge.

7. Chicken Annie's - 1143 E 600th Ave., Pittsburg, Kansas

Chicken Annie's in both Pittsburg and Girard are great places for chicken, but some would argue that Chicken Mary's is better. What do you think? (I think it's worth trying all of them!)

8. Hays House - 112 W Main St., Council Grove, Kansas

Council Grove is just one of those towns full of history and impossible to ignore. OF course, the next words out of many people's mouths are "Hays House," and for good reason. Just look at this food!

9. Old 56 Family Restaurant - 912 S Chestnut St., Olathe, Kansas

Old 56 has been around for decades, and it's not hard to see why. They make classic diner food that's just too good to be true. Of course, do you know any other home style diners that serve breakfast all day?

10. Renaissance Cafe - 210 N Center St., Assaria, Kansas

The Renaissance Cafe in Assaria is truly a worthy restaurant for a day trip. Reserve a spot for a special night out and make it one you'll never forget.

11. Sommerset Hall Cafe - 5701 SW Douglas Rd., Topeka, Kansas

Coconut creme pie is the hardest item to get here, if you come in for dinner. I just recommend ordering a whole pie ahead of time, because you'll want the whole pie after one bite!

Though we love more than just these 11, we'll like any restaurant that serves some of our favorite foods.
