Merchant's isn't fancy-schmancy, but it's still a nice place to grab a bite if you're in town. Their burgers are fantastic, but they've got a full range of food options from comfort food to finer flavors.

715 is a hot spot in Lawrence, with finer dining right at your fingertips. You don't need any fancy dress, but don't forget to bring your appetite! These flavors are sure to keep you coming back time and time again.

3. Wahoo — 1101 Moro St., Manhattan, KS

Wahoo is the place to be if you want fresh fish cooked right, and you'll only need a bite or two to understand why. Fresh fish and pasta, what else would you need?

This colorful taco connoisseur creates all kinds of simple and complicated unique flavors in their craft. The flavors here (and the colors) really set them apart from any other taco place you've seen.

Cafe Provence is a French restaurant that serves delicious meals that range in portion sizes and artistic expression. Your food is always beautiful, but sometimes your plate feels like a masterpiece. Sometimes the little things in life are what makes you smile.

Jarocho is a Mexican restaurant specializing in seafood, and boy do they deliver. If you've never had a fish cooked whole, you need to try it here, because I can't think of anywhere better in Kansas.

Sabor Latin is another great restaurant for date night, with a patio space and deliciously crafted menu items influenced by South America. The atmosphere really makes you feel like it's a special night out on the town, too.

8. Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant — 1413 N. Waterfront Pkwy., Wichita, KS

Abuelo's is Mexican cuisine but with the feeling that your family made it for you. It feels like you're right at home, but with delicious food to boot. Just look at these fajitas!

9. Gella's Diner — 117 East 11th St., Hays, KS

Located next door to a brewing company, Gella's is the perfect place to drink and have a filling (and delicious) dinner. Whether you like pasta, burgers, or sandwiches, you'll find a hit at Gella's.

10. Uptown Cafe Club D'est — 202 S Main St., Pratt, KS

This cafe is a great place to find some surf and turf, or just a simple meal while you enjoy live music and a few drinks. Either way, their steaks are some of the best I've had around here.

11. Blue Skye Brewery and Eats — 116 N Santa Fe Ave., Salina, KS

Blue Skye fits right in with the Kansas vibes we love, and they also make an amazing pizza! Pizza and beer have been a combo for what seems like forever, and this is just another example of how they're meant to be.
