1. Gordon Biersch — 100 E 14th St., Kansas City, Missouri

Though this place is mainly known for their beer selection, these garlic fries are on a whole other level. After your first plate, you'll see why they could easily comprise a whole meal.

2. Tay's Burger Shack — 1019 Armour Rd., North Kansas City, Missouri

Tay's makes some great quality burgers, but for me, the real star of the show is their fries. They make burgers right, but their fries don't lose quality because of that.

3. Stock Hill — 4800 Main St Ste G001, Kansas City, Missouri

Stock Hill is a steakhouse, which means fries are served every day. They're definitely on the higher end of things, but that doesn't mean they don't love their french fries just as much as your local burger joint.

4. Hawg Jaw Que & Brew — 900 Swift Ave., North Kansas City, Missouri

Hawg Jaw serves up some mean barbecue, but they also have some of the best fries in town. They're perfectly seasoned, and go great with any of their menu items.

Joe's has famous barbecue and we all know that, but have you ever pigged out on their amazing fries? They're the perfect texture, and work as a great vessel to move more of their tasty barbecue sauce where it needs to be.

A drugstore doesn't sound like somewhere you'd want to eat, but Justus has great fries to much on when you're feeling starchy.

LC's is a popular spot for barbecue, and like many of our favorite BBQ spots, there's a plate of amazing hand-cut fries just waiting for you.

Q39 is another one of our more popular barbecue kings, but their french fries have extra love and care added in with their preparation. As you can see, they're made fresh by hand, which already makes them leagues better than most chain restaurants.

Green Room makes some of the best burgers I've had, but have you ever stopped to appreciate their fries? They're perfectly crispy and salted without any crazy additions. Sometimes fries are best kept simple.

10. Beer Kitchen — 435 Westport Rd., Kansas City, Missouri

Beer Kitchen makes a good can o' fries if you're looking for the best salty snack to pair with your beer of choice. Oh and, they have other great menu items, but none as important as these crispy, crunchy fries.

11. Avenues Bistro — 338 W 63rd St., Kansas City, Missouri

Avenues Bistro might not make your list when you're thinking of great fries, but let me tell you, they make a mean plate of fries, as long as you're not discouraged by the toppings. Eat up!
